Manx Gas at mercy of global markets

Gas prices are going up on the Island but Manx Gas says there's little they can do about it.

The company has confirmed natural gas will increase by 0.16 pence per unit while LPG jumps eight percent, or 0.75 pence for each unit.

Its the second time the company has had to put up prices this year.

Managing Director Tony Nicholls says global prices are volatile and the company's at the mercy of the markets:
