Paddy’s Fish of the Week - Swordfish

by isleofman.com 20th July 2011

THIS week Paddy's has chosen swordfish as the Fish of the Week.

All about swordfish…

Whether grilled, baked or poached swordfish is a favourite of first-time seafood initiates as well as enlightened connoisseurs.

Swordfish's meaty texture and mild flavour are two reasons for its popularity. In addition to good taste swordfish offers a low-fat, low-calorie choice for health conscious consumers.

And don't forget the heart-healthy benefits of swordfish - it's rich in omega-3 fatty acids and other vitamins and minerals.

To cook swordfish simply…

Season, brush with olive oil and grill or try cooking in the oven using en papillote seal and cook bags.

Swordfish goes very well with chilli butter and freshly milled black pepper.

Until Sunday, July 24, swordfish steak will be £7.62 per lb. There will also be a sampling session at the Paddy's counter in Shoprite, Victoria Road, Douglas this Saturday.
