VAT agreement needs overhaul says candidate

by isleofman.com 19th July 2011

The VAT agreement with the United Kingdom needs to be re-negotiated.

That's the belief of a candidate standing in Peel in this September's General Election.

Ray Harmer currently works in the finance sector and is a Peel Commissioner.

The Isle of Man recently lost another £75 million after the UK visited the arrangement for a second time.

Mr Harmer believes in the future we need to negotiate hard to make sure the Island is treated fairly.
