THE Acoustic Gathering and Jackie Oates have announced gigs in the Island for later this year.
Both acts are being brought over by JonnoPromotions.
The Acoustic Gathering will perform at the Villa Marina's Promenade Suite in Douglas on Thursday, September 22.
The band consists of Ray Jackson, Jerry Donahue and Doug Morter, all former members of legendary folk-rock bands.
Ray, the distinctive voice of Lindisfarne, is also renowned for his original style on both harmonica and mandolin.
He wrote the mandolin introduction for Rod Stewart's Maggie May.
Jerry is known as the 'guitarists' guitarist' and 'string-bending king of the planet' and was a member of Fairport Convention and Fotheringay.
Doug was a founder member of Hunter Muskett and a frontman for Magna Carta and the Albion Band as well as sideman to Richard Digance, Maddy Prior and others.
The trio will be performing some Lindisfarne classics, material from their remixed CD The Gathering and new material from their individual repertoires.
Two-time Radio 2 Folk Award winner Jackie Oates and her band will be making her Isle of Man debut on Saturday, October 22 at the Villa Marina Arcade, Douglas.
Jackie was an originally a member of Rachel Unthank and The Winterset and has since carved out a solo career.
She is a member of innovative folk-fusion band The Imagined Village and has recently recorded with them.
The concert is the final date of a tour in support of her fourth album, Saturnine, which will be released on September 5.
Local support will be provided by guitar and mandolin duo Strengyn.
