EMPLOYERS are being invited to apply for a stand at the Island's biggest exhibition about work and training opportunities.
Employment and Skills 2011 takes place at the Villa Marina, Douglas, on Thursday, November 24. It is jointly hosted by the Department of Economic Development and the Department of Education and Children.
The event is an opportunity for employers and jobseekers to discuss current vacancies, future opportunities and the skills, aptitudes and training needed to enter professions.
Around 1,000 secondary school students will attend to discuss career options.
Economic Development Minister Allan Bell MHK said: "Following on from last year's successful event, this is a great opportunity for all employers on the Island to speak to and generate interest in their industry or profession from young people and others seeking employment.
"It is vital that the Island continues to provide local employment opportunities, that workers of the future know what those opportunities may be and what qualifications or other criteria they need to achieve to be successful in being appointed to their chosen employment.
"By attending, businesses will be supporting the continued development of their business and the Island's economy. I would therefore encourage you all to attend the event and, at this time, for businesses to confirm their interest."
Exhibitors will be required to set up stands between noon and 6pm on Wednesday, November 23.
The exhibition will be open from 9am to 7pm on November 24. Exhibitors can enjoy lunch, prepared and served by hospitality and catering students at the Isle of Man College, for £5 per person.
