Attack accused back in court

A 22 year-old man remanded in custody following an alleged assault in the centre of Douglas last week will appear in court this morning (Tuesday).

John Joseph Redmond is charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in an attack which saw Athol Street closed for a large part of last Monday – July 11.

He'll appear before the Deputy High Bailliff this morning.

Douglas man Arthur Bolan, 61, remains in a serious but improving condition in Noble’s Hospital following an alleged attack.
