Bypass campaign to continue

by isleofman.com 18th July 2011

Residents opposing what they claim are plans for a bypass through Peel say their battle will continue – despite a petition for redress of grievance presented to Tynwald a fortnight ago being dismissed on a technicality.

Members of the Ballawattleworth action group, comprising residents on the town’s Ballawattleworth estate, were told there were other areas they could take their case to before lodging a petition – mainly seen as a last resort.

Helen Prince from the group says they’ve also submitted evidence to police and believes it’s become a safety issue.
