Drug problem 'not going away'

The Island’s mephedrone problem is better than it was – but it’s not going away.

So says Shelly Stanley, director of services at the Drug Advice Service and Helpline, after the organisation published its annual report.

Since the former legal high was banned, she says the number of people needing help from DASH has fallen significantly.

But she’s warning people are still using the substance and it’s a problem that doesn’t look like it’ll go away soon.
