Government's 'hypocrisy' over redeployment

A union leader is hitting out at the government after Tynwald refused to back an MHK's efforts to move workers facing redundancy into other departments.

Steve Salter of Unite says North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson's proposal to find other work for railway staff was defeated because the government doesn't care.

He says the redeployment of the emergency planning officer highlights government hypocrisy.
