A MOTORIST has collided with a garden wall in Douglas causing it to collapse before driving away from the scene.

Police are investigating after the wall at the junction of Douglas Avenue and Port-e-Chee Avenue was knocked down between 1pm and 4pm on Tuesday.

Evidence left at the scene indicated that the damage was caused by a large vehicle which was possibly turning round in the lane.
