Michael Dunlop continued his winning ways on the Billown Circuit this morning (Thursday) setting a race record in the S&S Motors 600cc race.

The Northern Irish man held pole position but it was Ryan Farquhar who got the jump from the line.

Dunlop clawed the lead back by the start of the second lap with brother William chasing hard and Farquhar in the third place.

Farquhar retired on lap three promoting Guy Martin into third.

A right royal ding dong developed for second and third place between William Dunlop, Guy Martin and Cameron Donald - The Australian setting a new 600cc lap record - 109.113 as he tried to force his way into the top three.

While the followers scrapped it out Michael Dunlop stormed to the finish with a 7 second lead. William Dunlop broke Donald's record at 109.422mph to secure second place. Guy Martin fought off Donald to grab the third spot.
