Trade in your old mobile for cash under new initiative from Sure

by isleofman.com 14th July 2011

YOUR old mobile phone could be worth more than you thought thanks to a new mobile phone buy back scheme launched in the Isle of Man.

Sure has set up an agreement with a recycling company to offer members of the public the ability to recycle their old phones for cash.

Mobile phones could be worth up to £120 depending on the make and model and can be traded in for cash or for money off a new handset or contract.

Andy Bridson, chief commercial officer at Sure, said: "This is an outstanding opportunity for our customers as it now means their old phones have a trade-in value. Instead of leaving them in a drawer or throwing them away we will now buy them back.

"It's a win-win situation because it stops unnecessary waste and makes for a greener Isle of Man. We know these types of schemes have been very successful elsewhere and we envisage it being very popular here as well."

The buy back plan is the first to be launched in the Isle of Man and Channel Islands. To take advantage of it visit the Sure stores in either Ramsey or Douglas or log on to: www.surecw.com/isleofman/page-1165.
