THE Mountain Road was closed for four hours yesterday after a road traffic collision left a motorcyclist with serious injuries.

The collision involved a black and silver Honda CBR1000F motorbike and a red Honda Jazz car.

It happened at around 12.40pm near to the Black Hut. The motorcyclist was taken to Noble's Hospital but the occupants of the car were unhurt.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision. Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Headquarters on 01624 631212.
