No life threatening injuries after Southern 100 incident

THERE were no life threatening injuries to anyone involved in last night's incident at the Southern 100 Races.

 

The races were abandoned after an incident during the 600cc Supersport Race and police closed the main road between Main Road Ballabeg and Cross Four Ways.

 

A statement put out on Twitter by race organisers said: "The club wishes to reassure people that no one involved in the incident had injuries of a life threatening nature. Racing was abandoned due the state of the road and the police insisting on making a full investigation."

 

Today will see a revised race schedule with the 125/44cc race and the sidecar practice added to proceedings.

 

Roads close - 9.50am
Start race 7B 600cc  - 10.15am - 8 laps
Start race 7 600cc 10.50am 8 laps
Start race 6 125/400cc - 11.20am - 6 laps
Practice sidecar - 11.50am
