Court appearance after Athol Street incident

A man is due in court this morning (Wednesday), following an alleged incident in Athol Street, Douglas at breakfast time on Monday.

The defendant, who is 22 and from the capital, is charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The man, who won't be named until his appearance, has been in custody since his arrest.

He was taken in for questioning by police within an hour of the incident occurring.
