The Isle of Man was within a whisker of being behind the smash hit film The King's Speech.
The movie has grossed more than ?142 million worldwide and was best film at the 2011 Oscars, with Colin Firth winning the best actor award, for his performance as King George VI.
It had been rumoured in some quarters that the Island turned down the film, but chairman of CinemaNX Steve Christian says nothing could be further from the truth:
