PokerStars goes for gold for Manx Wildlife Trust

by isleofman.com 12th July 2011

POKERSTARS has become a gold corporate member of the Manx Wildlife Trust.

The Onchan based company has taken out the membership at a cost of £1,000 to support the conservation charity.

Joan Hadley, the chair of PokersStars's charity committee, said: "Our staff really appreciate the work that the trust is doing to conserve and protect the Island's wonderful array of wildlife and we are very happy to be able to assist the charity by joining their corporate membership scheme."

A number of staff, and their families, recently took part in an Orchid Walk led by reserves officer Tricia Sayle at the Close Sartfield nature reserve in the Ballaugh Curragh. They were able to find out first-hand about some of the conservation work being done by the Manx Wildlife Trust.

More information on Close Sartfield and the Manx Wildlife Trust's corporate membership scheme can be found by visiting the charity's website www.manxwt.org.uk.
