Tom Harris represents England

by isleofman.com 11th July 2011

Teenage golfer Tom Harris gave a strong performance as he represented England for the first time in an international tournament.

The Castletown player came joint-15th at the Chiberta Grand Prix in Biarritz, France, carding a five-over-par, four-round total of 285 to finish eight shots behind the winner.

The tournament, which had 112 starters, took place from Thursday to yesterday, with the competitors playing one round per day.

At just 17, Harris was one of the youngest in the six-man England team, the other being 17-year-old Paul Kinnear from Formby in Lancashire.
