Cav is 178th, after chaotic day

by isleofman.com 11th July 2011

It's a rest day at the Tour de France today (Monday), after a chaotic ninth stage yesterday.

Team Sky's Juan Antonio Flecha was knocked down by a French TV car, which sent another rider flying into a barbed wire fence.

Luis Leon Sanchez won the stage and Frenchman Thomas Voeckler is the new overall leader.

Manxman Mark Cavendish was 178th yesterday, is 131st overall and remains third in the battle for the sprinters' green jersey.
