There's a growing clamour from the Manx public for more legislation to deal with sex offenders.
A petition currently doing the rounds calling for 'Sarah's Law' to be introduced in the Isle of Man has collected around 3,500 signatures so far.
Campaigners are also due to protest outside Tynwald tomorrow (Tuesday).
North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson says the Department of Home Affairs is reluctant to bring such legislation in, as sex offenders' personal details would become public knowledge.
Mr Henderson, who is due to ask a question on the subject in Tynwald and present the petition to the minister, says that view is misguided:
