Back to the Future for Cav

by isleofman.com 8th July 2011

Mark Cavendish returned to the scene of his first Tour de France win in 2008 to notch up his second victory of the 2011 race.

It was a text book finish from his HTC High Road team, which dominated the closing stages to deliver the 'Manx Missile' to the finish line in Chateauroux.

Cav is now up to joint eighth position in the all-time list of stage winners at Le Tour.

He has 17 to his name, the same number as French rider Jean Alavoine.
