Government's financial priorities slammed

by isleofman.com 6th July 2011

A former trade union official who has dropped out of the forthcoming House of Keys general election says the Isle of Man is over-governed.

Ten days after announcing his intention to contest the three-seat constituency of Onchan, James Corrin confirmed his withdrawal, citing personal reasons.

The five candidates left in the frame are sitting members Peter Karran and David Quirk, local commissioners June Hall and Brian Stowell, and Zac Hall. Mr Karran and Mr Hall are Liberal Vannin candidates.
