Boiler fire in Peel

by isleofman.com 5th July 2011

Firefighters in Peel spent half an hour this morning (Tuesday) tackling a boiler fire.

The blaze broke out on the ground floor of a house in Lake Lane shortly after 9am.

The occupier escaped safely, and fire crews wearing breathing apparatus shut off the fuel supply and ventilated the property.

The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says people should ensure boilers are regularly serviced and make sure their smoke alarms work.
