FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a domestic boiler on fire at a home in Lake Lane, Peel, this morning (Tuesday).
Crews from Peel wore breathing apparatus as they extinguished the fire - on the ground floor of the property - by isolating the fuel supply.
They then ventilated the property using a motorised ventilation fan.
The sole occupier managed to escape the fire prior to the arrival of fire crews and was uninjured.
The incident happened at 9.15am.
A spokesman for the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service said residents should ensure domestic boilers are regularly serviced and that they have fully operational smoke alarms on their premises.
