Cavendish 18th after second stage

Mark Cavendish lies 18th overall after the first two stages of the Tour de France.

Today’s (Sunday) 23km team time trial was won by American team Garmin-Cervelo with Norwegian rider Thor Hushovd taking the Tour leader's yellow jersey.

Cavendish's HTC-Highroad squad, which was was hampered by losing Bernhard Eisel to a crash early on, were five seconds behind Garmin-Cervelo in fifth spot.
