THE two-day Garden Party festival in Onchan raised £12,000 for Naseem's Manx Brain Tumour Charity.

Organisers announced the amount from the stage on day two of the festival yesterday (Saturday).

The weekend saw music from a number of top Isle of Man bands including The Heights, Uber Room, Truman Falls, The Anna Goldsmith Band and a final performance by Planes Over Paris.

The festival was closed by homecoming hero Davy Knowles who grew up in Port St Mary but now lives in Chicago. He has two studio albums to his credit and has toured the world over the past few years.
