Speaker back from Edinburgh trip

Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan has returned home after attending the opening of the Scottish parliament.

The Queen performed the official opening of the fourth session in Edinburgh yesterday (Friday), on her first visit to Scotland since the SNP's landslide election win in May.

Mr Rodan, who was invited to the ceremony by the Scottish parliament's presiding officer, believes it's important to have a rapport with other speakers and presiding officers from the United Kingdom and the Crown dependencies:
