by isleofman.com 1st July 2011

FEEDER will not be playing in the Isle of Man this weekend due to the hospitalisation of one of the band members.

The alternative rock group were due to perform at the Villa Marina tomorrow (Saturday).

Lead singer Grant Nicholas is suffering from acute tonsillitis.

In a statement on the Feeder Facebook page he wrote: "I am really sorry that I will not be able to perform at the Isle of Man this Saturday.

"I have been ill all week with acute tonsillitis and still feeling very poorly. I am on antibiotics but they have not had enough time to get into my system .

"We will try and find another date that we can come back and play to you in the near future. Hope you understand. Cheers Grant."

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has said discussions are on-going as to whether the event can be rescheduled for later in the year.

Anyone with tickets is asked to hold onto them until the department makes a further announcement.
