Tax return fines for companies

Twenty-three Isle of Man companies and individuals have been fined collectively more than ?11,000 for failing to get their tax returns in on time.

Magistrates handed out the fines at Douglas courthouse, ordering the defendants to pay up to ?1,300 each, plus court costs.

The Treasury say the individual penalty can be up to ?5,000.
