A general election candidate says a vacant site close to his constituency is 'a blot on the coastline'.

Onchan MHK David Quirk, who hopes to regain his seat on September 29, is calling on government to do something about the plot formerly occupied by Summerland.

Five other people have declared in Onchan, namely sitting member Peter Karran, fellow Liberal Vannin candidate Zac Hall, local commissioners June Kelly and Brian Stowell, and James Corrin.
