Spectacular line up of Manx talent at the Garden Party

by isleofman.com 30th June 2011

THIS weekend's Garden Party festival at Begoade, Onchan, will see some of the Island's finest musicians in action.

The event, which takes place tomorrow (Friday, July 1) and Saturday (July 2), will be brought to a close by blues rock star Davy Knowles who now lives in Chicago.

Davy, who has two studio albums out - Roll Away and Coming Up For Air - will be backed by the Very Very Bad Men and other guest performers.

Tomorrow night will see the final performance by Planes Over Paris.

The band are known for their impressive original atmospheric material and strong live performances.

Also on the bill over the weekend are numerous other well-known local acts such as The Heights, Uber Room, Anna Goldsmith, Red Gap, Truman Falls, The Ballaghs, The G.A.S.P and many more.

It is the second year of the festival - which last year was known as Fockerfest - and a donation will be made to Naseem's Manx Brain Tumour Charity.
