FSC issues fraud warning

by isleofman.com 28th June 2011

The Financial Supervision Commission is warning of a scam which uses the details of a real company in the Isle of Man.

The FSC says letters from Martins Arnold and Green Ross claim to represent Irish Nationwide in Douglas.

Mr Arnold, claims to be chief accountant/account director, while Green Ross claims to be head of the legal department at a company called Marcus Financial Loan.

The letters are being linked by the FSC, which says neither of the men are for real.

The commission says under the circumstances the letters are probably trying to lure people into a fraud, and people shouldn't respond to them.
