Miscarriage support group set up by bereavement charity

by isleofman.com 28th June 2011

A MISCARRIAGE support group has been started by a local bereavement charity to offer support to people who have been affected by it.

Cruse Bereavement Care has set up the group following requests from members of the public.

Amanda Cafearo, the manager of Cruse, said: "Cruse Bereavement Care is offering a miscarriage support group and aims to provide a safe environment in which men and women experiencing the grief of losing a pregnancy can come together.

"The group will be facilitated by an experienced Cruse Bereavement volunteer and will enable those having experienced a miscarriage (both men and woman) to come together to share their experiences and provide each other with mutual support in a safe environment."

The group will start on Thursday, July 21, at 6pm at the Cruse Bereavement Care centre at 6c The Village Walk, Onchan.

For more information please contact Cruse Bereavement Care on 01624 668192 or e-mail iomcruse@manx.net to register.
