THE Southern 100 has secured sponsorship of its major race at this year’s meeting through a deal with Manx Gas.

The solo championship race - the climax of the meeting on the Thursday afternoon - is being backed by the company.

Guy Martin, Cameron Donald, Ryan Farquhar, Klaus Klaffenbock, Dan Sayle, Ian Lougher, William Dunlop and Conor Cummins are amongst the top stars taking part in the event which starts on July 11.

Southern 100 Club spokesman Phil Edge said, “We are delighted to have Manx Gas, one of the Island’s major businesses, as sponsor of this prestigious race.”
