Success for women's shooting team - disappointment for the men.

by isleofman.com 28th June 2011

Manx shooters added another gold to their impressive haul in the Isle of Wight yesterday (Monday).

Lara Ward and Rachel Glover shot 1164 in the ISSF 50m Prone Smallbore Rifle Team event to take the win from Jersey's Mary Norman and Sarah Pallot on 1148.

It was a successful day for the Manx pairing who'd already picked up bronze in the 10m air rifle final.

Meanwhile there was disappointment in the men's team event for Michael Duncalf and Ben Kelly

They shot 1161 to tie with the Isle of Wight's Paul Cotton and Richard Wilson. On count back the win went to the hosts and the Manx had to settle for silver.
