Ramsey lifeboat assist seasick crew member on yacht

RAMSEY lifeboat went to the aid of a visiting yacht yesterday after a member of the crew became severely seasick.

 

The Ann and James Ritchie vessel was launched at 6.45pm at the request of Liverpool Coastguard who had been contacted for medical advice by the yacht which was moored in Ramsey Bay.

 

The crew member, who had been suffering from seasickness for several hours, was brought into Ramsey Harbour and was met by an ambulance. No further medical treatment was required.

 

Ramsey lifeboat returned to the station and the crew were stood down by 8pm.
