POLICE are appealing for information after a bus driver was injured after being hit by a stone.
The incident happened shortly before 12am on Saturday night.
The bus was travelling along Main Road in Glen Vine towards Douglas when it was forced to stop due to obstacles that had been purposely left in its path near to the Ballagarey traffic lights.
While the bus driver was removing the obstacles a young male believed to be between 16 and 20 threw the stone in the man's face causing minor injury.
Police would like to speak to anyone who has information about this incident or who can identify the culprit. They have stressed that leaving obstacles on the roads can cause great danger to motorists and have warned that incidents like these could have serious consequences.
