First medals for the Manx

The Isle of Man team at the Natwest Island Games has begun racking up the medals.

On the first day of competition (Sunday), Kevin Loundes took silver in the half-marathon for men, and the team as a whole also won silver.

However, the womens team went one better, winning the team gold in their half-marathon event.

They told Edward Oldham they were delighted with the result:
