Bishop to work with acquitted vicar

The Island’s Bishop says he’ll be working with the vicar who cleared his name last week to decide the future of his Maughold parish.

Canon David Green was cleared of false accounting and theft charges on Friday after the court heard he was disorganised with money but not dishonest.

His advocate says Reverend Green will now try to get on with his life and put the long legal ordeal behind him.

Bishop of Sodor and Man, Robert Paterson, has released a statement backing both the police for bringing the case, and Reverend Green.
