Island prepares to salute servicemen and women

by isleofman.com 25th June 2011

It's Armed Forces Day on Sunday.

Island servicemen and women will be recognised at the fifth annual event.

Manx military personnel, both past and present, will lead the parade as the Island remembers those who have served and are serving the country.

Chairman of the armed forces day committee, Brigadier Norman Butler, is sure a warm welcome will await the homecoming troops along Douglas promenade and at the Villa Marina.
