Cleared vicar 'looking to the future'

An advocate who represented a Maughold vicar says his client will now try to get on with his life after being cleared of theft and false accounting.

Yesterday (Friday), Reverend David John Green was found not guilty of a total of 13 charges by High Bailiff John Needham.

The allegations dated back as far as 1997, and Canon Green had been suspended by the Diocese of Sodor and Mann since 2009.

Speaking after the case was dismissed, his advocate Kevin O’Riordan said it was time to look to the future:
