Minister's concern over nuclear plans

A Manx government minister is expressing disappointment after Sellafield in Cumbria was earmarked as one of eight sites to get a new nuclear power station.

The plans will have to go through the United Kingdom parliament and the planning process, but UK ministers hope the facilities will be up and running by 2025.

Potential sites in Heysham and Anglesey are also in close proximity to the Isle of Man, which concerns Environment Minister John Shimmin:
