Laxey's celebrating the 40th anniversary of its village fair this evening (Friday).
Festivities start at 6.30pm with a parade from the Rose Gardens led by Onchan Silver Band.
This'll be followed by the crowning of the fair queen in the Valley Gardens, along with Punch and Judy, dance performances and the infamous tug-of-war competition.
Programmes featuring photography and nostalgia from previous fairs are available in local shops.
