THE Isle of Man College is hosting an end of year exhibition showcasing the work of art, design and media students.
The exhibition will open to the public on Monday and will run until July 6.
Helen Fox, the programme manager for art, design and media, said: "Everyone is welcome to visit the exhibition and see for themselves how talented the students are.
"It's been another fantastic year supporting and developing the Islands creative minds and helping students make the transition from school to higher education and to find a pathway to follow as a career focus.
"It is a very exciting time in the creative arts with lots of opportunities and new technologies which combined with creative minds can lead to some very exciting career routes for our talented students.
"This year we introduced a new full time course the Level 2 Extended Certificate in Art and Design for students not eligible for A-level or diploma study and part time in the evening. The certificate gives mature students the chance to experience a mini foundation course and chance to have a go at everything. Both courses have exceeded all expectations with students making some outstanding work.
"The acquisition this year of a laser cutting machine has enabled the students to create very intricate ideas which previously would have taken weeks.
"The students make the most of live projects that we are asked to undertake and this year have included a DVD to encourage young people to vote, Manx Youth Games video, Douglas Borough Council Lamppost Banner Competition, Festival of Youth logo design, Archibald Knox Society Norman Sayle Award and a Wearable Art Fashion Show held to raise money for The Children’s Centre."
The exhibition at the Isle of Man College is open from 10am to 8pm on Monday to Thursday and from 10am to 4pm on Friday. It will be closed on Tynwald Day.
