Parish Walk: checkpoint cut-off times

WITH another record entry and more than 1,000 expected to get to Peel (32.5 miles), the organisers have again had to give time limits for walkers to get to each of the 17 check-in points.

 

For those wanting to join the hundreds who each year enjoy the unique atmosphere of watching the leaders finish the event, we have also included the suggested times for the leaders reaching check-points towards the end of the walk.

 

Cut-off time limits:

 

Santon - 11.30

Rushen 13.35

Peel - 17.00 *

Kirk Michael - 19.00

Ballaugh - 19.50

Jurby - 20.45

Bride - 12.50

Andreas - 23.45

Lezayre - 01.25

Maughold - 02.50

Lonan - 06.05

Finish - 08.00

*Peel will remain open until 18.00 for finishers only.

 

Estimated times to see the leaders:

 

Lonan (78.5 miles):  22.00

Onchan (83 miles):  22.30

Finish (War Memorial, Douglas Promenade) :  22.30 - 23.30
