Marshals' chairman pleased with clerk appointment

The new clerk of the TT course has been welcomed by the head of the TT Marshals' Association.

Gary Thompson was confirmed as the new clerk on Thursday, replacing Eddie Nelson who upset some of the marshals at TT 2011, when he accused them of 'whingeing' about delays in being brought off the mountain road after racing.

Chairman of the Marshals' Association Terry Holmes told Manx Radio Mr Thompson had already been in touch and their working relationship was off to a good start:
