Minister gives taxi trade update

by isleofman.com 22nd June 2011

The minister for infrastructure has vowed to deliver improvements and stability to taxi services in the Isle of Man.

Phil Gawne told colleagues in Tynwald that an advisory committee set up to assess the trade needed more time to develop recommendations.

In March, after lobbying from MHKs, Mr Gawne withdrew plans for an all-Island taxi licensing system, to allow time for further consultation with the taxi trade.
