Health Minister David Anderson has welcomed the Tynwald vote supporting his plan to appoint a general surgeon with an interest in breast care, rather than keep a breast specialist.
Opponents of the plan took their campaign to the national parliament yesterday (Tuesday).
A packed public gallery saw East Douglas MHK Brenda Cannell's motion to appoint a dedicated breast consultant at Noble's, end in defeat.
Minister Anderson has promised high quality breast care will continue for patients on the Island, and says there's a sound case for appointing another general surgeon:
