Misadventure verdicts have been recorded on two Manx Grand Prix riders who died in the same incident during last year's races.
Twenty-eight-year-old Jamie Adam of Prestwick and 39-year-old Chris Bradshaw from Tamworth, crashed in the Junior event at Alpine near Ballaugh.
Mr Adam was a petty officer in the Royal Navy and Mr Bradshaw a highly qualified road policing sergeant and motorbike instructor.
Coroner of inquests Alistair Montgomerie heard evidence from several marshals who witnessed the crash.
Evidence showed Mr Adam's Suzuki veered into a hedge on the bend before Alpine Corner during the second lap of the race.
He was thrown back across the road and was killed by the impact.
In what Mr Montgomerie described as 'sheer bad luck', the machine then struck Mr Bradshaw's Yamaha, also knocking him off.
Mr Bradshaw was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Mr Montgomerie said it would never be known exactly why Mr Adam's bike drifted towards the hedge.
