Manx through to cricket semi-finals in Belgium

by isleofman.com 22nd June 2011

The Isle of Man's Cricketers are through to the semi-finals of the ICC European Division 2 Championships, regardless of the result of their match against Portugal tomorrow (Thursday).

The weather in Belgium today caused the abandonment of Portugal's match with Finland, meaning only the Portuguese can challenge the Manx to top group A.

Today is a rest day for the Isle of Man, and after winning three matches on the trot they probably deserve it!

Victory against Portugal would make them group winners, meaning they would take on the runners-up from group B in Friday's semi-final.
